Franz Arts & Culture Gallery at National Centre for the Performing Arts
The National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, China, is a stage dedicated to performing arts from around the world.
It is a melting pot where East meets West, so it makes perfect sense for the Centre to work with Franz to establish a gallery, showcasing art collections in limited edition.
Each meaningful moment of the performing arts is translated into a porcelain collectible item in either Chinese or western themes. A series of fine porcelain works of art featuring classic drama, music, and dance successfully transforms the magnificent art forms on the stage into life of its own.
This series in limited edition is exclusively made for exhibition and for sale at the National Centre for the Performing Arts. The magnificence of Princess Turandot, the excitement of flamingo dance, the grace of White Snake Legend, or the lingering sadness of a cello solo,… all these have come to life in Franz porcelain. The series has become yet another form of performing arts.
A Fusion of Ancient and Modern, East and West
Franz Arts & Culture Gallery at National Centre for the Performing Arts opened at the end of 2008. The gallery utilized the materials, media, and totems of the Centre and created a unique space combining characters of both Franz and National Centre for the Performing Arts.
The gallery is 320 square feet by 14 square feet. The interior designer artfully added windows, silk screens, and rose wood chests in the space. The corresponding mirrors at both sides of the walls mix reality with illusion, opening up even more space in the color scheme of blue, purple, and red.
This unique space is like a secret dialog between ancient and modern, East and West. Franz gallery is located in the hallway of the concert hall. The mysterious bluepurple hue, familiar totems, ancient rhythms, future melodies, sunshine and shadow, music and arts are in perfect harmony.
At Franz gallery, we have created a space filled with essence of cultures and unlimited inspiration.
