Flowers of Van Gogh in Indonesia
Medici, Franz’s Indonesian agent, opened a Franz store in Plaza Indonesia in 2012. The store’s grand opening was a spectacular success attracting the elite of fashion. On that occasion, more than a hundred distinguished guests packed the store.
Franz designer James Tsai also showed up to sign porcelain pieces. With the festive atmosphere, the guests lingered on – For them, the party was indeed an artistic feast packed with sense and sensibility.
In 2013, Medici hosted an ‘appreciation’ gathering titled Flowers of Van Gogh at La Moda Cafe of Plaza Indonesia and also invited accomplished floral designers to create an appealing decoration called ‘Flowers of Van Gogh’ at the Franz Gallery, where a collection of Van Gogh-themed porcelain pieces were showcased among the beautiful blossoms.
In a joint collaboration with local fashion magazine - Indonesia Tatler, Medici invited many guests of honor, as well as the wives of the ambassadors from Europe and the Middle East to join this elegant ‘appreciation’ event.
Moreover, local art critic Deborah Iskanda also graced the event to share the life of Van Gogh and the master’s creations.
In 2015, the Franz Collection will continue to expand it’s most unique designs into Indonesia while continuing to interpret the perfection and harmony of nature thru it’s own creative culture.
