2009 Maison & Objet Paris
Live Report from the Franz Booth
2009 M&O Fall/Winter Collections (September 4~8, 2009)
No gravity, just pure white in a light weight texture, the exhibition space of Maison & Objet Paris was poemlike. The focus this time has been brought back to the human body, and through exploration from the surface layers inward, the deeper inner self is revealed and the meaning of life is found.
The Franz booth featured light Turkish blue and pure white, to echo the theme and color of this year’s exhibition. The highly anticipated underglazed and hand-painted vase was launched this quarter.
The pure white porcelain body with the three-dimensional flower pattern and petals hand-painted by artisans, showcased an especially delicate texture. They served as the featured product at this exhibition and also demonstrated the inseparable relationships between home accessories and craftsmanship.
You couldn’t miss our white Christmas tree the moment you walked into the exhibition space. The tree was decorated with polar animals wearing Christmas hats from the Christmas Treasury Collection, lovely Christmas ornaments, and the porcelain figurines from the third generation of the Lanvin Collection.
Gifts sitting under the Christmas tree were so tempting! We began to anticipate the excitement of Christmas morning as if we were youngsters. The Christmas atmosphere is on its way to everyone’s home!
