A Wonderful Time in San Francisco
In May of 2014, with the generous support of the Fu-Jen University Alumni Association of Northern California and the Joint Chinese College Alumni Association of Northern California, Franz organized its first overseas charity concert in San Jose, the San Francisco Bay Area, to uphold its philosophy of loving, caring, and sharing through enchanting melodies.

This exhibition presented many of Franz’s eye-catching new porcelain pieces, while the afternoon charity concert featured the performance by media professionals, musicians, and bands from the Bay Area.

The singers and instrumentalists performed classical Chinese and English songs to bring back the memories, presenting a wonderful feast for the eyes and sensational sounds for the ears.

As revealed by Tim Lau, Chief Executive Officer of Sing Tao Daily, one of the sponsors, the newspaper shared the same ideal with Franz, endeavoring to work with the community to infuse art into life.

Franz Chen, CEO of Franz Collection Inc., also addressed the audience, saying that both music and art can touch the heart, inspire the imagination, express feelings, and enrich life, and that he hoped to convey the philosophy Franz had been upholding through this charity event.

Moreover, Darcy Paul, president of the Cupertino Chamber of Commerce, Edmund Tai, president of the New Hope Chinese Cancer Care Foundation, and Sheri Pan, volunteer of the Silver Lining Foundation, all expressed their gratitude to the distinguished guests.

To give back to society, Franz donated 30% of its revenue on that day to the New Hope Chinese Cancer Care Foundation, the Silver Lining Foundation (dedicated to helping orphans and handicapped children in the remote mountainous areas in Guangxi, China), and its Project Imagination, fulfilling the company’s philosophy of loving, caring, and sharing.
