When Chinese Artifacts
MEET Modern Porcelain Artistry
The five-thousand-year old Chinese culture is deep and profound, and the series of eye-catching porcelain artworks produced through the collaboration with the National Palace Museum in Taiwan and the National Museum of China are a combination of both fashion and taste, making the selected
museum collections readily accessible to the general public. During the creation process, Franz used unique sculpture and painting techniques that express the spirit of the original artwork.
The National Museum of China has a permanent collection of over 1 million pieces of ancient Chinese artifacts and artworks, while the National Palace Museum in Taiwan contains over 600,000 cultural items in its permanent art collection.
These art treasures demonstrate the magnificent achievements obtained by all the dynasties over the long years of Chinese history.
Combining fashion with taste, Franz not only adds creativity to these artifacts, but also gives a new dimension to the priceless cultural implications of the everlasting porcelain artistry.
Heavenly Peerage Vase
The National Palace Museum’s collection
“Still life of gardenia” is a masterpiece of the famous flower and bird painter Xu Xi from the Southern Tang Dynasty, showing the color contrast of snow-white gardenia and green leaves as well as a sparrow standing on the branch looking at the hornet.
As “the sparrow and the hornet” sound similar to “granting peerage” in Chinese, Franz Collection created the Heavenly Peerage Vase based on the theme.
The piece is to symbolize congratulations on career promotion.
