I thought I’d take you up on your invitation to share my introduction to, and appreciation of, Franz porcelain. I first saw his work in Hawaii. I not only bought a cup, saucer and spoon for myself, I also purchased a cup and saucer for each of my sisters.

Needless to say, it was an expensive shopping trip, especially since I had to have everything shipped! But, the work was so beautiful and it made me think of my mom (who loved birds and flowers), so I bought the pieces for the memories they evoked in me.

Since then, I have purchased cup and saucer sets as gifts, and have 6 sets of my own so far. I have also purchased some vases and candle holders for gifts. I know I’ll be adding to my collection for years to come. I don’t recall seeing a Gerbera daisy or a horse in the collection and I think those would be nice additions. Gerberas come in so many colors and are so fun!
