Nancy Krstevska, Australia
The following story is of an avid collector of you magnificent artistry. She is also a lover of beautiful things as they make her feel good. She has many pieces and loves all of them. So much so, she even sits in her dining room just to look at them and admire their beuty.
Elica Zafirovska first saw the collection in a décor gift shop in a display cabinet and was amazed by the talent of integrating a flower or an insect into a cup, so much so that she enquired about some pieces and found out that they are collector pieces. So then her collection was born her first pieces being the “forget me not’s” cups & saucers. As the attached pictures will show the full extent of the collection, in this letter is her story.
At the age of 44 Elica became a mother all over again receiving guardianship of her first granddaughter Arielle and being of a sickly nature has wanted something to leave her 4 grandchildren to remember her by. So she started with a nobile idea to start a collection for each granchild with a couple of pieces and let the parents continue the collection thereafter. But, when she started collecting the “Butterfly Collection” realising that some pieces are limited edition and that might not be available in a few years time decided she would complete that collection whatever it took, so as she has other collections started her pride is in the “Butterfly Collection” as she has finally completed it except for one piece the white wine glass.
For the eldest granddaughter she has the Butterfly collection, for the second eldest granddaughter she has the “Roses” for the third grandchild being the only boy she started the “Hummingbird” and for the littlest of them all the fourth grandchild she started the “Slipper Orchid” the second and fourth collections have already been given so they are not included in the pictures.
