• A Sunny Breezy Day-Hummingbird and Lily Vase
The Hummingbirds’ Plumage Gives a Dazzling Display of Color
What makes a hummingbird attractive is its colorful feathers, which dazzle with brilliancy underneath the golden sun.
In the 19th Century, Europeans decorated hats for women with hummingbirds’ colorful feathers. As such, Franz designer May Wei draws on the amazing silhouette of a hummingbird to create the Hummingbird and Lily Porcelain Vase, depicting the concept of ‘A Sunny Breezy Day’.
To display the featured hummingbird’s colorful plumage, the painter attentively colored each feather to echo the bird’s alias - ‘the goddess of forests’.
The bluish green vase features two hummingbirds frolicking over a grassland, hence creating a laid-back, comfortable and elegant atmosphere.
