Voices of the President
Franz has been striving to make a breakthrough in porcelain production in terms of “shapes, colors and quality”, keeping pace with the times in opening up
a new era of porcelain artistry.
For example, when it comes to shaping techniques, we hold patents unique to this process, where soft molds are used to replace
outdated molding systems that do not meet the needs of our complex design requirements, thus allowing our designers to break free of the fetters of conventional
design thinking. In the aspect of the porcelain “color”, we have adopted the “underglaze painting” technique that brings out brilliant, vivid colors, freeing ourselves
from the former traditional methods, and we have also developed a new hand painting technique that can be used to achieve subtle hues and create delicate lines.
In the aspect of the porcelain “quality”, we have overcome difficulties and added smudging effects on the porcelain produced through the skillful unity of Eastern Shuimo,
or loosely termed brush painting. These techniques and Western styles generate delicate paint layers.
Furthermore, Franz joined forces with highly acclaimed French fashion designer Jean Boggio to create a unique furniture line combining a variety of materials to include
porcelain, wood, metal and textile, an act which marked the culmination of porcelain craftsmanship.
Franz strives to be at the very front of the latest trends, dismissing old constraints, allowing for a more enlightened life style. It is our hope that in this new era
of porcelain Franz will transform itself into one of the classic and legendary brand names in modern fashion.
