The CEO’s Voice
The combination of artistry and craftsmanship is the manifestation of civilization. Artistry and craftsmanship embody the advancements of contemporary technology, culture, and arts. They are also witness to the evolution of human history.
People say that philosophy leads the development of literature, literature leads the creation of arts, art leads to the thriving of arts industries, and arts industries nurture culture. Culture brings new philosophical ideas, and the circle begins anew. In short, art facilitates the birth of new culture, and arts industries foster the growth of new culture.
Over two hundred thousand foreigners once lived in China during the Tang Dynasty. They admired culture and the civilization of the Tang Dynasty. They learned how to live a beautiful life with quality, style, and good taste. China once lead the world as a cultural civilization. Porcelain, gunpowder, compass, papermaking, printing, tea, and silk were all invented in ancient China. But, these inventions were not further developed by Chinese.
The art of Franz porcelain combines the essence of East and West with traditional and modern day art. At Franz, we create all of our works with an attitude of living in the moment. Franz is determined to thrive in the arts of porcelain-making and carry the glory of porcelain superiority back to China once again.
Aesthetics, though born of a lean economy, must still set the trends of our time; arts and crafts reflect the emotional status of the creativity that builds within our artists. Be they painters, sculptors, signers or dancers, they present to us truth and beauty. It is from their creative offerings, that we gain our sense of taste and style.
Man and nature should live harmoniously, and the new concept of cultural innovation aligns with philosophy of Zhuangzi, “Heaven, Earth and I were produced together, and all things and I are one.” In this era of emerging new cultures and economies, I would like to encourage everyone to keep an eye on the bigger picture. Find new value in the beauty that surrounds us. And, for those most special reflections of our taste and style, look to the Chinese inspired designs of Franz.
